Rutherford Cross have been retained by our high profile client within the Scottish arts and culture sector to recruit a part time Head of Finance and Compliance.
Reporting to the Chief Executive you will have responsibility for the organisation’s financial reporting, risk management, governance (both financial and corporate) whilst also ensuring compliance with all regulatory and statutory matters. Through engagement with all staff you will promote an increased level of financial accountability for all activities developing both their skills and confidence in managing budgets, projects and initiatives. As part of the Senior Management team you will support the Chief Executive Officer and work with the Board in the development and implementation of vision, policies and strategic plans for the organisation.
Successful candidates will be Qualified Accountant's with a proven track record in financial management and strategic planning, you will also have previous experience of contributing to the strategic management decision-making process through the provision and presentation of meaningful financial information and analysis. Possessing excellent communication and negotiating skills coupled with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders will be vital and you will also be able to “ talk finance ” to operational staff whilst also providing support and training to raise the level of financial capability across the organisation.

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 pro-rata with excellent benefits.
