Rutherford Cross has been retained by Tokheim to identify a high calibre qualified Accountant to undertake a key senior finance role. The Factory Financial Controller role is part of the Dispenser Business Unit (DBU) and is based in Dundee. This is the main manufacturing operation in Europe and produces fuel dispensers, point of sale devices and outside payment terminals. Reporting to the Manufacturing Director for Dundee, this is a key finance role within a dynamic, growing business requiring a high calibre individual.

This role is central to the finance structure and will be highly visible both within the Dundee operation and across the broader group. The role forms a key part of the Dundee Senior Management Team and, in conjunction with a relatively flat reporting structure, provides the Financial Controller with a privileged position embedded within the business.

The Factory Financial Controller position incorporates a blend of accounting, commercial insight and business partnering requiring a high calibre individual who is strong interpersonally, self-motivated, flexible and possesses excellent business acumen. Experience in the manufacturing industry is desirable, especially in relation to supply chain and logistics. What is more important is that the Financial Controller brings energy, drive, passion and a highly acquisitive nature – the business is focussed on innovation and striving for improvement in every facet of its operations.

Strong operational finance, costing and stakeholder management experience are also required. The individual must be capable of producing insightful management information coupled with developing robust working relationships with the Senior Management team. In particular, it is essential that the individual can provide sound financial guidance to aid decision making and possess sufficient gravitas to challenge current thinking.
