Description

The B2C FP&A Analyst will be pivotal in providing support to the Global Direct to Consumer Commercial teams, Ecommerce and Retail, to help deliver the overall vision of the company. The focus of the role will be:

  • Providing in-depth analysis of store and online performance in terms of sales and contribution by product category, gender and location/country.
  • Highlighting and investigating sales at below target margin.
  • Providing gap analysis on a YoY and seasonal basis at a product level to ensure that replenishment by Merchandising is optimised.
  • Reporting on B2C metrics to support the business in decision making.
  • Feeding information into the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring that sales gaps are clearly quantified.
  • Supporting the Group Inventory Planning Controller in providing relevant data for the MSSI (Monthly Sales, Stock & Input report) and the monthly buys.
  • Supporting appraisal of investment initiatives.
  • Constantly strive to improve processes and maximise financial performance.

The key responsibilities of this role are:

Sales & Margin reporting

  • Develop and implement daily, weekly and monthly sales reporting by channel by location and by EComm territory against targets, highlighting variances and risk areas
  • Highlight and investigate any sales with margins less than target
  • Provide sell-through and sell-out metrics
  • Stores by location - provide segmented sales and contribution by sq foot by SKU, by product category and by gender
  • Provide quarterly retail sales reports to leaseholder

Evaluation & KPI reporting

  • Develop and implement a suite of KPI reports by location
    • Intercompany
    • Competitive set
  • Develop and implement a suite of KPI reports on EComm metrics
    • Traffic
    • Conversion rates
    • AOVs
    • AUTs
  • Provide robust evaluation of Marketing investment
  • Support the ROI appraisal of popup and concession initiatives, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned
  • Prepare robust business cases on new locations

Forecasting and Budgeting

  • Be responsible for providing sufficient information at product category, collection level by location/EComm territory to facilitate sales forecasting
  • Ensure that sales forecasting plans are aligned with information in the MSSI so that planned buys are not materially different from latest view plans

Relationship building

  • Build sustainable relationships with ECommerce and Retail teams by:
    • creating self-serve system reports on historic sales
    • highlighting any margin or sales gaps, with recommendations for minimising risk
    • support Merchandising in replenishment decision-making
  • Support teams with scenario modelling for price/product initiatives; ensure that Commercial, Marketing, Merchandising and Supply chain objectives are aligned.

The Person

The ideal person for this role has the ability to present information to stakeholders and functions in meaningful ways to enable decision-making. They will enjoy the challenge of presenting data in a variety of outputs relevant to the end user. It is essential that they have the skills to persuade, influence and build relationships at all levels, and to flourish in a fast paced, flexible environment. Advanced Microsoft Office skills are also required as is experience of working with BI and performance management reporting tools.
