Description

The Company

The Scottish Salmon Company produces Scotland’s finest salmon with pride and passion.  With our head office in Edinburgh, we breed, rear and process superior salmon exclusively in the pristine waters of the Scottish Western Highlands and Islands.  We are proud to be at the heart of Scottish rural life while enjoying a growing reputation internationally for supplying only the finest quality Scottish salmon.

Employing over 480 people in Scotland our aquaculture operations range across 60 sites in Argyll, the Western Highlands and the Hebrides.  We are engaged in all stages of the value chain from broodstock development and smolt production through freshwater and marine farming to harvesting, processing, sales, marketing, HR and IT.  We are fortunate to have highly skilled staff who are passionate about their work and are proud of the delicious and nutritious fresh salmon we produce.

We are dedicated to delivering the highest standards in all areas of our business.  We pioneer best practice in many aspects of aquaculture from animal husbandry and environmental research to customer service and brand development.  We supply some of the world’s most discerning chefs, restaurateurs, smokers and high end retailers both in the UK and internationally. This year we were named Exporter of the Year at the Made In Scotland Awards and in 2015 we were named Business of the Year and Exporter of the Year at the Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards.
