 Our Client

The opportunity has arisen for a Strategic Client Financial Reporting Accountant to join our client’s Finance function on a permanent basis. Our client is a leading international investment company headquartered in Edinburgh.

 

The Role

Reporting to the Strategic Client Financial Reporting Manager you will be responsible for assisting in the provision of accurate financial reporting to strategic third party clients of all consolidated fund financial statement information. This role is a 12 months FTC with possibility of permanent role at end of contract.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Working with the team manager, ensure the timely and accurate production, reconciliation and validation of financial data for the purposes of third party fund consolidation
  • Assist in the co-ordination of the activities of the team in order to meet the team objectives
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of an appropriate delivery model for the provision of this client output
  • Ensure production of all accounting output is timely and accurate
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with applicable stakeholders, including third party client contact, auditors, administrators, etc.
  • Collaborate effectively with relevant fund financial reporting teams within ASI Operations
  • Assist in the review of processes to identify and effect possible efficiencies and implement improvements in a controlled and robust manner
  • Respond promptly and reliably to appropriate queries and ad-hoc data requests from internal business units, auditors and third party administrators
  • Assist in the provision of other Regulatory Reporting requirements where, from time to time, necessary.

 

The ideal candidate:

  • Part Qualified and actively working towards achieving qualification
  • Previous experience of fund accounting
  • Good understanding of applicable accounting standards, for example IFRS

 

Remuneration

Salary: £30,000 – 35,000 per annum
