Description

Cyberhawk is the world leader in delivering drone inspections and asset visualisation software for energy infrastructure. The company has established a globally renowned reputation and is relied upon by many of the world’s largest energy companies. Cyberhawk sees a huge opportunity in the US market, a region in which they are already using their credentials and mature, trusted UAV data capture solutions as a springboard for further significant growth.

Cyberhawk are based in Livingston but will be moving to Ratho just outside of Edinburgh in June 2019. It is also envisaged that the role may require travel to other Cyberhawk offices globally and locations the business operates in over time.

The Opportunity

The CFO is a key member of the Executive Management team, as such the role requires a strategic thinker and a proactive operator who is capable of delivering more than just the financial models and reporting. It is envisaged that they will take an active interest in understanding the end to end business and help identify and develop strategies to maximise revenue and profit growth. This can take the form of supporting the delivery of commercial contracts, identifying potential acquisitions or investigating new potential territories for international expansion.

The appointed individual will take a hands-on approach and be equally comfortable with crafting strategy, coaching team members and getting things done themselves. However, it is likely that the business will develop quickly and therefore critical that the CFO can build robust systems, reporting and teams to allow them to move away from the detail and deliver shareholder value.

The Individual

This CFO position also requires a professionally qualified, high calibre accountant who possesses a pro-active approach to financial management. The role requires a range of leadership and stakeholder management skills, along with the ability to add value and drive positive change. The individual should be strategically focused but also very “hands-on” to ensure the accurate delivery of financial information, especially in the short term as the business scales.

It is highly likely the individual will have operated in another entrepreneurially led business going through rapid growth and with a similar international footprint. The position will suit an individual currently operating at CFO level, or a high potential “No2” in finance looking for their first CFO appointment.

What’s on offer and what to do next?

The position offers a financial package which includes equity share, competitive base salary, pension and performance related bonus.
