Description

Rutherford Cross is pleased to be working with a Big 4 firm in Leeds to recruit a Manager into their International Tax Services team. The ITS team has advised on many of Yorkshire’s recent high-profile deals and this newly created role will focus on international tax advisory and cross border M&A transactions.

The opportunity

The combination of experience and innovation in the team makes this not only one of the most exciting technical areas to work in tax but also a provides an opportunity to learn and develop alongside a high calibre team working with UK and overseas MNCs, lawyers and banks on complex projects.

Your key responsibilities

  • Assisting clients with expansion into new markets
  • Pre-merger reorganisations and post-merger integration
  • Organisational structure rationalisation
  • Business model redesign
  • Optimisation of capital structure and financing
  • Lobbying and negotiation with tax authorities in UK and globally

Skills and attributes for success

  • Client focused and strategically and commercially aware
  • Strong international and UK tax technical skills
  • Strong client relationship skills with ability to develop quality outputs to clients
  • Effective time management, ability to remain calm when under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communicator in a range of situations both written and oral
  • Ensure delivery of quality work and take day to day commitment of delivery team

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Any of the following preferred: ACA / CTA  qualified, HMRC trained or qualified solicitor
  • Experienced tax practitioner with reviewing skills and expertise in international tax
  • Experience of coaching and developing more junior team members
