Rutherford Cross is delighted to be retained by Celtic Renewables to appoint a Financial Controller to be based in Grangemouth / Edinburgh

Celtic Renewables is an innovative start-up company formed to commercialise a process for producing a superior next generation low carbon chemicals, biofuel and other high value sustainable products, from the conversion of biological wastes and residues.

Having successfully completed a round of fund raising for the next stage of their development, which is the building of a demonstration plant in Grangemouth through a wholly-owned subsidiary company and the development of full-scale plant opportunities internationally, they have acknowledged the need to secure a suitable qualified Financial Controller for the team.

The position requires somebody who likes diversity, challenge and high visibility yet is not above doing some of the more mundane and less exciting aspects to a complex finance role.

This position requires a professionally qualified accountant who possesses excellent technical accounting skills, strong systems knowledge and previous management experience. It is likely that the individual has trained in a professional services firm, but has also operated within commercial organisations, ideally in a small/medium, high growth business environment.
